The Challenge:
After building our clients website a few years ago, the team reached back out to us to help increase enquiries and demand for their bespoke design and installation services through Organic Search. They were keen to take a more natural, long-term approach and avoid relying on Paid Search, which can become costly over time due to high CPCs (cost per clicks) in a competitive market.
While the site was already ranking well for some terms, the real challenge was optimising for more commercially valuable keywords – terms that would drive high value enquiries and ultimately more sales.
The Solution:
We took a strategic approach that incorporated the three core pillars of SEO: on-site optimisation, off-site optimisation, and technical SEO. While this approach is nothing out of the ordinary for one of our SEO retainers here at Splitpixel, as always, we delivered a bespoke plan tailored precisely to the client’s objectives, target market, and current organic positioning.
Our first step was in-depth research. This included comprehensive keyword and competitor analysis to identify high-opportunity areas and ranking gaps, alongside a full manual technical SEO audit. The audit followed our robust checklist, covering everything from foundational elements like meta title optimisation to more technical aspects such as page speed, indexing issues, and overall website crawlability.
Based on the client’s goals and our audits, we built a strategy focused on high-priority areas that would generate the most immediate impact. One of our clients key service offerings is within the education sector, so we made this the core focus of our short-term campaign plan.
Implementation began by tackling critical technical issues across the site that can accumulate over many years of content additions and changes – including fixing redirect errors, updating sitemaps, and refining the robots.txt file. Once we had a more technically sound foundation for the website, we moved on to on-site content improvements. This involved improving page content to better serve users and build topical authority across key service areas.
Alongside this, we carried out ongoing off-site optimisation, acquiring high-quality backlinks from credible, relevant websites to build domain strength and trust signals.
The Results:
The result? Strong organic performance improvements in such a short space of time.
This is driven by a structured and bespoke SEO strategy built around what matters most for the client – meaningful results, not just vanity metrics!
Since we started implementation, the client has had:
- An 81% increase in unique form enquiries from organic search versus the previous period.
- A 141.7 % increase in organic impressions recorded inside Google Search Console (UK data)
- A 26.3% increase in organic clicks recorded inside Google Search Console (UK data). This is even more impressive, given the impact Ai Overviews has had on clicks and CTRs over the past 16 months.

We continue to support the clients with their SEO strategy, and the results above are based on a plan that’s still in progress. With ongoing optimisation, we anticipate even stronger outcomes in the coming months, before potentially shifting focus to some of their other key target sectors.
