About Bar Preservation and Parkwood Contractors
Bar Preservation is a family run business that has been established for over 20 years. They are structural repair and preservation specialists that supply surveys and solutions for domestic and commercial clients.
They recently launched their historic building restoration sister company Parkwood Contractors, who specialise in buildings of historical importance such as cathedrals, churches and castles.
Project Goals
We created Bar Preservation’s previous website in 2015, and they came back to us for a refresh to keep their online presence modern and up to date. They wanted to include more enticing imagery and styling within their new site to keep users engaged and encourage enquiries. It also needed an update to work better on mobile devices, and give the BP team more control over adding content quickly and easily.
Alongside this, they wanted to create a simple but engaging new site for their sister company Parkwood Contractors, with an emphasis on the heritage specialism.
Brand Development
We refreshed the Parkwood Contractors brand with a new logo and colour scheme that emphasised the heritage feel of their brand. They wanted a brand that felt established, and would also be relatable to their customers. Bar Preservation, on the other hand, were maintaining their existing brand – some of the styles just needed updating to fit the needs of a new site.
Seamless Transition
To create a seamless transition from their old sites to new, we completed a manual content migration for both Bar Preservation and Parkwood Contractors with full redirects. A carefully managed launch eliminated any downtime for the sites.
We also improved the way in which the enquiry forms worked, making it easier than ever for their customers to reach out – and for the team to prequalify leads.
Futureproof Webflow Website Design
The new sites will be easy for the Bar Preservation and Parkwood teams to manage, edit and change as they go. The easy-to-use CMS will allow them to take control of their content for years to come – maybe even for another decade?
