Come take a look at our new office! We’ve finally got enough room for everyone!
We’ve been in the same office since we set up Splitpixel, way back in ’08, so it’s big news that we’re making a move. From 1st May 2017, we’ll be located at the Heritage Exchange in Lindley, just 10 minutes from Huddersfield city centre.
Since we hit record staff numbers, the air was getting a little thin in our packed office, so we’ve chosen a bigger one with far more space for our expanding team, with team and meeting rooms. The Heritage Exchange is a refurbished Victorian textile mill, so we’re looking forward to seeing the exposed stone walls against our brand colours of blue, pink and orange (as well as increased O₂ levels).
Some of the team went to have a sneak peek last week, and came back full of ideas for the huge, airy space. We’ve planned what the team room will look like and organised new furniture, we’re having a glass wall installed to create our meeting room, and we’re designing some artwork for the glass. We’re also creating a feature wall with custom-designed wallpaper – interior design is definitely a first for our web designers!
We’ve still got the strong transport links to Manchester, Sheffield, Bradford, Halifax and Leeds, and it’s even easier to access the M62 and M1 motorways from our new place.
Along with our move to the ‘burbs, we’ll be getting a new phone number (01484 970860), but don’t worry – if you’re a current client, we’ll let you know when we’re moving lines so there’ll be no loss of service. In the meantime, if you have a meeting with us after 1st May (or indeed want to send us a letter), we’ll be here…

Web Design Brand Guidelines – and what to do if you’re worried about web accessibility
Since 2008 I’ve used countless brand guideline documents when designing websites. Back when I started, there wasn’t much of a conversation about accessibility – the overall aesthetic was all people were worried about.
