Retail & Ecommerce
With ecommerce continuing to grow, online retail brands need fast and efficient websites that stand above the competition, providing a smooth journey that converts their users into customers.
When it comes to ecommerce, every conversion counts and any wrong turn in a user journey can cost an ecommerce site a customer. We work alongside retail and ecommerce brands to deliver engaging, polished sites and digital marketing plans that prioritise user experience and get the results and repeat custom that they deserve.
Digital needs in retail and ecommerce
Ecommerce websites require a high level of functionality with content presented in an inviting, dynamic way that’s suitable for users of all levels of technical ability and, above all, the products or services on display have to look their best.
We begin from a position of understanding what issues you may be facing as an ecommerce brand, such as standing out against the competition in your market. By understanding your needs, we can craft something that serves you best.
For example, you may not wish to sell directly through your site, using ecommerce listings as more of a catalogue to encourage enquiries. Or you might want to offer as many payment gateways and options as possible!
We’re integration specialists who can seamlessly incorporate payment plugin systems, making for a seamless transition to your fresh new site – your users won’t even notice they’ve moved to a new platform.
We work primarily in WooCommerce for WordPress, pushing the platform to its limits to build enrolment and booking systems, online ordering apps that integrate with EPOS, and much more alongside the standard shopfronts.
And our approach to web development means we deliver bespoke, future-proof sites that are highly secure and easy to update with new content on a daily basis. They look great across all devices, too.

Yorkshire Stoves and Fireplaces - Ecommerce website design, copywriting and WordPress build.
YSF are a family-run retailer based in our hometown of Huddersfield. They needed a website to showcase their brand aesthetic and translate the allure of their showroom to an online space with a full product catalogue.
We developed a fresh WordPress site for YSF with WooCommerce integration, full of tailored content designed to boost SEO and help them perform well amongst fierce competition in the online marketplace. We also supported their pay-per-click advertising to see a 100.65% increase in leads within the first three months.
Hiya! - Branding, naming, web design, ecommerce and WordPress development.
We helped transform this brand from Lifestyle Rentals Ltd. to Hiya! in 2018. A TV rentals consumer brand with their sights set on market leadership, they needed a new site to give them the space to grow and truly reflect what they wanted to achieve.
We created a full digital brand for Hiya! complete with an exciting new WordPress site. The WooCommerce element integrates seamlessly with their own internal application process, allowing them to vet and approve customers for a rental agreement. We continue to support Hiya! and are looking forward to working alongside them more in the future.
Stoves Are Us - Ecommerce, web design, and development.
Stoves Are Us were selling their products across the UK using their already successful ecommerce platform. We helped simplify their user journey to better accommodate first time buyers with straightforward, minimalist designs, and clear content to take them to the next level.
We built the site using their existing ecommerce platform Magento, making for a seamless transition for their back-end management while totally transforming and modernising their front-end for their customers, helping them excel above their market competitors.
Sunnybank Mills - Web design and development.
We created a dynamic new WordPress site for Sunnybank Mills, a business, arts, and heritage space, that included an online gallery shop to sell beautifully stylish jewellery, ceramics, textiles, books, accessories, art prints, and other handmade crafts designed by local independent artists.
While the site is not built in ecommerce software, it provides a gateway to the mill’s full retail experience, with multiple opportunities to enquire about buying art through the site.
The Open College of the Arts - Ecommerce/higher education enrolment website design and WordPress build.
We don’t often think of educational institution websites as ecommerce platforms, but OCA needed smooth user journeys that generated conversions just like any online retailer. We designed a bespoke WordPress site that prioritised ease of use for potential students looking for courses and wanting to enrol.
We integrated WooCommerce to offer seamless ecommerce functionality with their new WordPress site. We also continue to manage OCA’s pay-per-click advertising and are continuing to optimise their site as a long-term partner.
