About Challenge-trg Recruitment
Challenge-trg Recruitment is one of the UK’s leading recruitment businesses and part of Challenge-trg Group – a managed service provider that is uniquely positioned to provide a bespoke, integrated, multi-service offering comprising of end-to-end recruitment, transport solutions, and training.
Splitpixel has worked with the Challenge-trg Recruitment team for a number of years, initially working with PMP Recruitment, which was acquired by Challenge-trg Group – creating an all-in-one recruitment solution for their clients.
The brief
Challenge-trg Recruitment wanted a website that would serve them, their clients, and the UK’s job seekers for years to come, working seamlessly with their branding to create a modern, polished new look that was completely responsive across devices to make their services accessible to all.
Due to the nature of their work, Challenge-trg Recruitment needed to make sure that their website would be 100% fit for purpose, allowing them to engage with specific B2B and B2C audiences that require their services. It was essential that content would be easy to find and logical, with minimal clicks to get to the information their site’s users may require.
The site needed to be easily adaptable so that the team at Challenge-trg Recruitment could easily manage and update job ads. We planned to use an API integration to Broadbean, customised to provide advanced searching and filtering for constantly updating job listings.
Custom WordPress website development
We use a flexible, futureproof, modular and easy-to-update CMS for all of our clients. This makes our websites easy for clients to take control of managing and updating on a day-to-day basis. We wanted to make sure that the website we built for Challenge-trg Recruitment was entirely adaptable for their needs and requirements, so the website would be able to grow and change with them into the future.
An additional challenge of the project was combining multiple previous sites, including PMP Recruitment and Challenge-trg Recruitment’s existing website, into one solution, implementing a full content audit and redirect strategy to ensure that we didn’t lose any legacy rankings before launch.
Job Listings Search
Due to the nature of their business, Challenge-trg Recruitment needed a very bespoke job listings search that would allow their users to quickly and seamlessly search on their site for jobs. The search allows users to search for job title, location, sector, city and job type using a location radius-based search that can be tweaked if the user finds no result.
We designed the jobs listing search from a UX and SEO perspective to make sure users were directed to exactly the right place when searching for jobs. This search function provides Challenge-trg Recruitment with advanced searching and filtering to make looking for specific jobs easier than ever.
API Integration to Broadbean
To make uploading and managing new jobs as seamless as possible, we developed a bespoke API integration to Broadbean. This meant that new jobs would be pulled to the new site regularly, to create or update a listing with minimal management from the Challenge-trg Recruitment team. The WordPress site works alongside Broadbean to remove out of date listings if no longer active in Broadbean and automatically replace them with an SEO-friendly redirect.
Creating this bespoke integration between WordPress and Broadbean means that Challenge-trg Recruitment can provide their clients with the best possible service and user interface, with minimal admin updates from their side.
